Disclaimer: NAMU® is not owned, operated or affiliated with HUD, FHA or the Federal Government in any way.

Conducting Business on the Internet: You acknowledge and agree that electronic communications and databases are subject to errors, tampering and break-ins and that, notwithstanding the efforts of NAMU® to implement reasonable security precautions, NAMU® does not guarantee or warrant that such events will not take place. You agree to follow all access and security procedures provided from time to time by NAMU®, and you will not attempt, nor will you aid or abet any other person in any attempt, to circumvent or otherwise interfere in any way with any security precautions or measures of NAMU®.

No Unlawful or Prohibited Use: As a condition of your use of the Website, you will not use the Content or access the Website for any purpose that is harmful, abusive, derogatory, defamatory, in violation of any confidentiality obligation, invasive of any third party's rights, unlawful, disruptive to the Website, or otherwise prohibited by these terms, conditions, and notices in the Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy. You may not obtain or attempt to obtain any materials or information through any means not intentionally made available through the Website. NAMU® reserves the right to terminate your use of the Website, in its sole discretion, with or without notice, if NAMU® reasonably believes that your conduct fails to conform to the Terms of Use.

Complaint Resolution Not Provided: If a complaint is made against a Student, NAMU® will not get involved in “complaint resolution”, and as such, will not become the judge in deciding who is right and who is wrong.

Course Updates: Mortgage regulations & guidelines can change throughout the year. With that said, we make every effort to keep our students updated and do this in a variety of ways. We start with an annual review of each course to determine if full, partial or no revamping is needed, and will revise the course(s) once a year accordingly. We also give each Student one year to ask questions directly to our instructors which can help in gaining clarity on any new legislative or rule changes not reflected in the course content. From here, we may put together supplemental “update” webinars, if deemed necessary -- which are made available to each “active” Student upon request, at no extra cost. Finally, we post weekly training videos and articles within our weekly e-newsletter, The Mortgage Standard, which often cover breaking mortgage news & proposed legislative changes.

1-Year Access: Once a student enrolls, the student will have one year of access to the CampusMortgage® Online Training Portal & related services, which will start from when the student first logs into the CampusMortgage® Online Training Portal — not from date of purchase. This one-year period applies to the webinars, course materials, exams, customer support and ability to ask questions/concerns to the instructors.

Refund Policy: No refunds or credits will be issued if a student and/or customer has logged into any recorded/“live” webinar course or has requested a Certificate of Completion for the course/certification/bootcamp/bundled package purchased. If a student and/or customer has not logged into a recorded/“live” webinar course or has not requested a Certificate of Completion, the customer is entitled to a full refund (minus a $75 administrative cancellation fee) provided a refund request is received in writing or via e-mail by NAMU® within (5) calendar days from the date of purchase. If a refund is issued to a customer, the customer will not be permitted to repurchase any NAMP®/NAMU®/CampusMortgage® product/services from NAMP®/NAMU®/CampusMortgage® in the future (including its affiliate resellers). NOTE: there are no refunds on corporate sponsorship packages that include advertising, “brand awareness” initiatives, email marketing, banner ads, etc.

However, the Student may list their active NAMU® Certification on their resume, LinkedIn.com profile or any other professional profile or bio. For example, the Student may add the NAMU® Certification acronym to their LinkedIn.com profile name (for example, John Smith, NAMU®-CMMU®). The Student may also add the NAMU® Certification to their LinkedIn.com "Certifications" section of their profile, i.e. Certified Master Mortgage Underwriter (NAMU®-CMMU®).

Training & Certification Disclaimer: NAMU® is a Florida corporation, and all training & Certification offered through NAMU® is for "professional development" and is further for informational purposes only (not to serve as licensure training or legal advice). Obtaining NAMU® Certification does not imply the Student is an "expert" or "licensed" in any mortgage related field -- it simply means the Student has taken online training classes and passed a 1-hour timed online proctored exam. It also does not guarantee the Student will find a job. NAMU® does not provide job placement assistance. NAMU® is not owned, operated or affiliated with HUD, FHA, VA, State Government or Federal Government in any way. NAMU® Certification is not a local, State or Federal Government issued Certification. Your decision to post your Name/Profile Image within the  NAMU® Website and NAMU® Member/Certificant Directory means you shall hold harmless and indemnify  NAMU® and its agents, directors, officers, members, employees and/or volunteers from any and all claims, loss, damage, costs (including court costs & attorney fees) however caused resulting from or arising out of or in any way connected to your Name/Profile Image being made public via the  NAMU® Website and NAMU® Member/Certificant Directory. NOTE: If you prefer to not have your Name/Profile Image posted on the NAMU® Website and NAMU® Member/Certificant Directory, you may opt out at any time by simply emailing or calling us directly at 800-865-8550 Press 2, and we will promptly remove it.

No Job Placement Provided: For those Students who are seeking to find a job within the mortgage industry NAMU® does not provide job placement assistance of any kind. Aside from the current state of any given job market, there are many other factors that go into the Student securing a job after obtaining NAMU® Certification — which are out of NAMU®’s control (i.e. the Student’s professionalism, interpersonal skills, enthusiasm, employment track record, etc.). With this is mind, NAMU® does not provide job placement assistance, nor guarantee the Student will find a job.

NAMU® Certification is NOT a License: NAMU® Certification is strictly a “professional development” training program – not a license.

NAMU® Certification is Not State or Federal Issued: All NAMU® “professional development” courses are not required by any state. These NAMU® “professional development” courses are designed to help you advance your career, grow your business and make the commitment to lifelong learning. All NAMU® Certification programs are for “professional development” purposes only, and are NOT to be considered a State or Federal issued License or Certification. NAMU® Certification has no effect on state professional licensure requirements, if any. It is advised that Students seek guidance from the appropriate licensing agency in your home state before beginning any academic program leading to licensure or certification. Although most employers do not require a “professional development” Certification to secure employment or for career advancement, we have been in business since 2012 and are considered by many mortgage professionals to be a leading provider in mortgage underwriting education and certification.

Certification Exam Format: You may re-take a NAMU® certification exam up to (3) times with a “cooling off” period of (14) calendar days between each failed exam. If you fail a NAMU® certification exam three times, you must wait 1 year before you can re-register for the same NAMU® certification -- the 1-year waiting period will start from the date of the third failed exam.

Accessibility Statement: NAMU® is committed to facilitating the accessibility and usability of all of its websites for all our customers, including people with disabilities. We strive to meet the standards of the World Wide Web Consortium’s Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 Level AA (WCAG 2.0 AA). Our efforts are ongoing as technology advances.

As for viewing our online training classes, here are some of the accessibility steps we’ve taken:

  1. We’ve added Close Captioning to all our training classes.

  2. We provide all students with 1 year access to our training classes, even though the average time a student takes to complete the training is between 1-3 months.

  3. We utilize a video streaming service, which adheres to WCAG AA compliance standards such as ease of use with screen readers to help ensure that all video player elements can be read properly by screen readers, like JAWS & NVDA, as well as a default color contrast ratio that meets minimum WCAG AA standards, and more.

  4. We can provide a student with extra time to take the exam instead of the standard 1-hour time limit.

  5. We can make other special accommodations in accordance with ADA requirements.

If you require special ADA accommodations, please do not hesitate to contact us at contact@mortgage-underwriters.org or 800-865-8550 x104 during our normal business hours (Monday thru Friday, from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM EST.).

NOTE:

On 02/01/23 Instructor Questions Phased Out: CampusMortgage® no longer permits Students to ask questions directly to the instructors; however, for all Students who registered prior to 02/01/23, CampusMortgage® will still permit the Student to ask questions to the instructors, pursuant to the CampusMortgage® Terms of Use here: CampusMortgage® allows Students to ask questions directly to the instructor for a period of one year from date of purchase, with a maximum of five (5) questions per class (not per module). The Student will receive only one (1) instructor response per question with no counter responses from the instructor. The Student will not be permitted to ask questions on any free classes provided to Student as part of a special offer or bundled package deal. If the Student submits a course concern; for example, a potential error with the grammar/calculations/forms/etc. and the Student would like a response from the instructor, that response from the instructor will count towards the allotted (5) responses per class. If the Student submits a course content suggestion/recommendation, CampusMortgage® will keep the suggestion/recommendation on file to be considered during that course’s annual review. NOTE: All course content suggestions/recommendations are subjective in nature and may not get implemented. The Student may not transfer any of the allotted (5) questions to another class or fellow Student. Only the registered Student may ask questions — not a colleague, family member, friend, fellow Student, etc. The Student’s question must pertain ONLY to the content in the course webinar and/or course materials -- not random mortgage-related questions. DUE TO LIABILITY REASONS, QUESTIONS MAY NOT PERTAIN TO A "LIVE" LOAN SCENARIO. When asking a question to a CampusMortgage® instructor, please keep in mind the instructor may not have the entire facts & background of the student’s question; therefore, we recommend the Student also utilize other resources such as FHA.gov, VA.gov, NMLS, CFPB, State Banking Department, etc. All answers provided to the student by a CampusMortgage® instructor are for informational purposes only and should not be taken as legal advice. By proceeding forward with asking a question to a CampusMortgage® instructor, the Student hereby agrees to indemnify and hold harmless CampusMortgage® and its employees, officers, directors, trustees, shareholders, affiliates, and agents from and against any and all liabilities, actions, claims, damages, costs, losses, and expenses, including, without limitation, reasonable attorneys’ fees & costs, arising out of (a) any negligent act or omission by the student or (b) any answer (information) given by a CampusMortgage® instructor pertaining to the Student’s question. This indemnification shall remain effective indefinitely and shall not terminate with the expiration or termination of the Student’s CampusMortgage® training class.
